The stator works with the flywheel and consists of copper wire wound poles that are stationary. The flywheel, which rotates with the engine crank, spins around the stator to produce alternating current AC. It then runs up to the regulator-rectifier where it is converted to direct current DC. Most motocross bikes come with an ignition stator, powerful enough to only supply the ignition system. Some can be modified to work as a lighting-ignition stator by adding more copper wire winds on the poles. Places like Baja Designs and Ricky Stator can take your factory assembly and modify it to produce two to three times the power. Each has its benefits and unique styling. We decided to focus on a single headlamp and tail lamp, effective for trail and enduro riding. The Baja Designs Enduro headlamp was the best choice for our bike; it included factory style plugs that made it plug-n-play.

Whenever wiring off road lights, it’s important to add a relay to the wiring. Failure to do so would cause excessive heat in the wiring and switch and create a risk of fire.
For just such occasions, CURT offers several different adapters that allow opposing plug types to be joined together. The chart below identifies which adapter is needed to bridge the connection between two different plug types. Often times, a vehicle is equipped with separate wiring for turn signals and brake lights. A CURT converter offers a quick, simple solution by making this connection possible. One of our most exciting product lines is our electric brake controls.
The CURT brake control line, spearheaded by the TriFlex inertia-activated brake control, offers a number of braking solutions for hauling larger, heavier loads. A brake control system works on trailers with built-in electronic brakes to effectively stop the trailer as you stop the vehicle. The TriFlex features a triple-axis, motion-sensing accelerometer that provides precise, dynamic power adjustment when going up or down an incline.

How to Make a Chasing Car Tail Light Circuit Using 1 watt LEDs
I also want to thank Ken Guitar4Him who helped me troubleshoot some problems during the design process of getting this circuit operational. The original mod gave you red tail lights that made the bike more visible from behind using a single red LED on each side. This new mod uses 24 LEDs for the tail lights 12 on each side. These act as both running lights AND brake lights so you get additional brake lighting for increased safety.

Planes fly the same in the dark as as they do in the light. The main difference is what is happening in the pilots head. Design your plane so you can tell top from bottom so it is easy to stay oriented to. If the lights are installed correctly the planes can even survive combat at night. New LED lights have computer programming built in.
By flipping a switch on my transmitter I can change the color and function of my LED lights on my plane in the air.
One more step
That means the current flowing through the wires amps alternately change direction many thousands of times a minute. For the purposes of this topic we might as well regard the AC electrical system as an ‘alternating voltage’ system since it’s easier to grasp that concept. The voltage in an AC system is also unregulated, meaning the voltage at the extreme peaks of the sinusoidal AC voltage wave its positive and negative peaks often climbs with engine RPMs.
Light bulbs not LEDs are considered “non-polarized” which means they don’t care what polarity the voltage is or what direction current flows through them. Light bulbs will work in positive voltage systems or negative voltage systems, as well as in AC systems where the voltage polarity is constantly alternating polarities between positive and negative.
Light bulbs can be dim at low RPMs, they are susceptible to failure from vibration and so sometimes we would like to “upgrade” to higher brightness and more robust LED lighting in our taillights.
Description. LED Autolamps Series multi-function 12V LED rear light with stop / tail / indicator / reflector combination. Featuring a signature diamond pattern lens it is shock proof, fully submersible up to 1m and uses tinned copper cable to resist corrosion.
To accomplish this task, connect wires to the positive and negative power leads of the trailer lights. Depending on whether the trailer lights were purchased as part of a kit, electrical wires may already be connected to the power leads. Install an Optional Toggle Switch If the lights will need to be turned on and off without physically disconnecting them from the battery, it will be necessary to install a toggle switch.
A toggle switch is readily available from local automotive or electronics shops, and should offer two terminals for wire connection. To install the toggle switch, connect the red positive lead from the trailer lights to one terminal on the toggle switch, then solder the wire in place. Connect another length of wire to the other terminal of the switch, also soldering that wire in place.
Connect the Wires to a Battery With two wires extending from trailer lights, the wires are ready for connection to a power source. Since the lights are designed to work on a volt automotive system, the ideal power source is a volt car battery available from any local automotive or chain retail store. The wires can be connected to the battery using electrical tape to secure them in place; for a more secure and professional connection, though, first connect the wires to automotive battery terminals and then secure the terminals to the battery posts.

Running Light Problems How to Fix Running Light Problems Step by step guide on how to troubleshoot and repair automotive tail and running lights, this information pertains to not working, dim and flickering lighting systems. Begin with the car on level ground, engine off with the parking brake set, wear protective gloves and eye wear. When performing tests avoid connecting power wires or terminals to ground metal , fuse damage can occur, most automotive bulb testing procedures are done in this manner.
If one tail light bulb has failed, the problem is probably the bulb itself or a bad connection, if all lights are non-operational, follow down the guide to Step 5. Running Light Bulb Out Step 2 – Remove bulb socket to expose the bulb for inspection, gently grasp the bulb and pull or push down and twist counterclockwise to remove, some bulbs are accessible by removing the lens itself while other require the removal of a plastic panel.
LED applications that require more focused light often use a secondary optic that is placed over the LED, which internally reflects light into a spot, medium spot, wide spot or elliptical spot pattern.
Cut along the mark line, and tear a little bit of 3M backing tape from the mark. If 3M tape is not peeled off a little, it will be harder to insert the strip into the connector. There are two sides to the connecting tray — make sure the wider of the white sides faces up. This is the top. Make sure the soldering pads fully touch the conjunction metal.
Push the plastic lock back towards the middle into the lock position. Be gentle and make sure the mounting tray is securely closed or the lights will not light up. For long term use, try and use liquid tape or a bonding material to make sure the connector does not become loose. Materials Needed Have all your materials ready. Measuring how many feet of LED strip you need You may have your LED strip light sent to you in a reel 16 feet or by the foot, depending on the quantity ordered.

I’m curious how the lightbar has faired with the weather. That’s one of the cheaper light bars I’ve seen and would love to know if it’s holding up. Also how bright is it? I’ve seen some that look great, and some that were a huge waste of the owner’s time to install Thanks, Eric Hey Eric, sorry bout the late reply. I dont get on here as much as i use to. And unfortunately the original light bar did NOT hold up! Not the fault of the harness or my wiring but the actual light ba itself was not good.
After research and reading reviews from others, i founf it was common with that bar. The good part was Rampage was extremely forgiving and replaced the bar for me even after owning it for almost a year. I actually had to wait for it to become back in stock tho which was like a month or 2. Me being impatient i bought a different bar off amazon with a much better reputation.

Scissors or knife for cutting the power cable Optional: The power supply that we are using is manufactured by the company that makes the LED strips we’re using and is designed specifically for the strips we are using. As you can see in this picture it is a 12V 18W supply with a 3 wire input. Those three wires are the standard AC power connections you find in most homes at least in the U. Those lines are ground, live or hot , and neutral. It then has a standard 2 wire 12V DC output on the other side.

Place motorcycle on solid, level ground and on center stand if equipped. Remove your turn signal lens. Place it upside down and clean the lens interior with the supplied alcohol wipe. Allow to completely air dry. The supplied silicone is used to secure the LED board to the lens. It remains flexible but can be removed. Test fit the board in your lens prior to using silicone.
Using a small screwdriver, poke a small hole in the end of the tube of silicone. Place a dab of silicone on each of the 12 LEDs on the circuit board. Note the position of the metal pins on the back of the LED board, They must be located 90 degrees from where the holes are that secure the lens to the housing. Position the round circuit board over the inside of your turn signal lens with the LEDs facing down.
Get the board as centered as possible. Allow the silicone to make contact with the inside of the lens and then push down and slightly rotate the board back and forth to allow the LEDs to make contact with the lens surface.
